Modeling - building - exterior - details - Pipes


Create cylinder to be used to create drain pipe


Extend profile to cover base section of pipe


Copy or create cylinder of equal diameter



Apply bend modifier to cover first 90'of bend



Adjust size to fit purpose


Copy and rotate to create second bend
Attach top segment if required


((Try to leave gap between each piece))
Attach segments to main pipe


Remove end caps of geometry pieces
(this could have been performed more easily upon separate pieces)


With end caps removed - weld exposed edges together to create single pipe


Adjust single pipe geometry if required to fit profile


PIPE HOLDER
Create cylinder
make sure outer diameter is greater then pipe


Alt + q = isolation mode
Add end cap segment (2) - convert to editable poly - edge selection - select loop (inside edge geometry segment - scale out as shown



Polygon selection mode - select all polygons as shown to leave arch



Delete highlighted geometry


Bridge sections INDIVIDUALLY to maintain arch


cap ends of arch



edge selection mode - Connect tool - add 2 lines of geometry as shown - use pinch to narrow position


Highlight newly created segments


Extrude - as group - local normal


highlight back profile as shown


Extrude - group - local normal


Exit isolation mode
highlight newly created object - shift + a - left click on pipe
This will align holder pivot point to pipes pivot point - side both cylinders will place holder around main pipe


Adjust diameter and extrusion depth to fit purpose
Rotate to represent fixing to wall


Create new layers to hide pipes



Copy pipe geometry


Place one new pipe to fit into corner


Add connect lines on pipe hight
Adjust holder height
Line up connect line to allow height to be effectively trimmed


Enter isolation mode - highlight all polygons above connect line
Remove geometry


Move pipe over extruding geometry of side wall
Rotate 180'
Trim as before (but opposite) to gain result as shown


Highlight and remove geometry as shown to leave most of single bend


This will leave pipe hollow and 2 dimensional on inside as shown


Apply shell to pipe
Make sure inner amount is applied but outer amount is reduced to 0.0


Adjust height so not to overlap with roof


Copy another pipe


Move to back face of building
Slide holders down into position


Trim using techniques as before to create small side pipe
