Original depth extrusion was performed incorrectly
This needs to be corrected
Bridge bottom of geometry gap
Cap remaining hole
Add extra geometry via connect incase required when extruding (problems as before)
Highlight geometry as shown
Extrude backwards (create indentation from original wall depth)
As before target weld geometry to remove unwanted extra geometry
Highlight and remove bottom extra unwanted geometry as shown
New doorway now has correct profile to align with wall indentation
Original door profile can now be highlight and removed to create opening again
Adaptations required on opposing wall hallway entrance as well
Again bridge the bottom polygon then cap the secondary polygon gap
Add extra line of geometry using connect
This will remove doorway space from leading directly unto geometry used for lower wall depth
Re-remove geometry to create hallway gap again
(Hallway will now be slightly narrower however will not be adjusted due to small difference and reference picture inaccuracy)
Highlight doorway edge profile - hold shift - drag backwards to create doorway outer profile
Unhide all beams and struts geometry - adjust if necessary
Detach hallway geometry as before (highlight polygons - detach - rename)
Create new layer
Remove geometry from wall to allow for "hole" in doorway (doorway does not protrude as uniform wall but as slat wooded segment support by beam)
Select hallway geometry - connect - add geometry as shown (this will allow end segment to be removed from hallway component
For speed decided to attach hallway piece to wall - add geometry as necessary and target weld to allow hallway entrance to protrude only from bottom segment
To produce geometry as shown
Detach hallway geometry from wall and place back in appropriate layer
-:- On reflection first attaching geometry together (never detaching) could have simply removed necessary geometry and extruded bottom segment to obtain identical result faster - however since this was work in progress final result was not directly anticipated.
If necessary adjust position of hallway beams on other side of hallway
Unhide walls - create wall material
Diffuse - pure white colour
Noise map - apply to bump map - apply to wall
Upon inspection - adjustment made to wall has distorted geometry - adjustments required
Highlight problem area
Detach
Apply turbo smooth - window geometry requires restrictions to hold in place
Select boarder to windows - cap window holes
Apply connect - pinch 99 two segments - cross over window section vertically (as shown) and horizontally
Select Centre window segments - grow (once) - remove - window geometer will hold despite turbo smooth
Certain errors occurred whilst applying smooth where edges curved
Applied extra geometry to hold edges
Extra 2 lines of geometry to hold obtuse edge
Triangle geometry not ideal however will serve purpose
Opposing wall has similar problem except more severe
Extra geometry required in multiple positions - around windows
Also around arch to prevent from "curving up" with smooth
Chamfering and connect used to increase geometry restrictions
Test render to examine quality - slight difference above doorway in material brightness - will amend if possible at later date
Viewing new plans visible that building piece that juts out will be removed - therefore no required in scene
Add geometry doorways in to cap holes - detach
Select all unwanted geometry
remove gometry
Bridge geomety - to re-create top portion
Replace lost geometry using cut tool
Shift drag out geometry from all sides to be attached to doorway geometry
Re-attach doorway geometry
Link all pieces together via the vertices using weld
ALWAYS weld too doorways to maintain doorway shapes and alter everything around
To achieve this used target weld
Highlight doorway geometry polygons
Remove
